Where do I start? After 20 plus years of living with pain from two L4-L5 decompression and fusion back surgeries, a right knee reconstruction, a heart attack, quadruple bypass heart surgery, a torn rotator cuff in one shoulder and a torn AC joint in my other, I was introduced to the staff at Be Well Solutions in Destin. After discussing my situation, they determined what the proper treatment would be and what I should expect. Boy were they wrong, it’s was so much more than I expected.Not only do I feel like a 20 something again, but the depression that I had been “just dealing” with since both of my parents passed away in 2020 and my wife of almost 30 years just walked out one night in 2021 had suddenly disappeared. I am learning how to smile, laugh and truly enjoy all of life’s beauty.Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I was diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2024 too. I’m currently in remission and thanks to the staff at Be Well Solutions in Destin, I actually look forward to waking up every morning. God bless you ladies !!!! I am a 63 year old retired Paramedic. Not only have I seen a lot of trauma working on an ambulance and in the Emergency Room for over 30 years, I also experienced significant childhood trauma. I was able to keep everything I had seen and experienced compartmentalized until I was hit by a drunk driver several years ago and all those traumatic experiences came rushing back and I felt debilitated physically and emotionally from the accident. Additionally I have Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and Arthritis which causes chronic pain, constant fatigue, nausea, and IBS. And to top it off, I was diagnosed with Long Covid and lost my taste or smell for 3.5 years. I felt hopeless.I was receiving medical care from a team of doctors (PC, rheumatologist, neurologist, orthopedist, ophthalmologist, psychiatrist, and pain management) but all the medications they put me on only made me feel worse. I got to the point where I didn’t get out of bed because I was depressed and in so much pain.My daughter met one of the owners of Be Well Solutions who told her about ketamine infusion therapy for chronic pain and convinced me to do it. I am so glad I did! I felt so much better after the first treatment and GRATITUDE became word for the rest of my treatment. After the ketamine pain series, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and BEMER therapy, I am THRILLED to say I am 100% better emotionally and about 85% better physically. I am able to do things and enjoy being with my family again!! I’m even starting to do some light exercise! AND my taste and smell returned!!
